After cutting the tops off over 800 strawberries I proceeded to align them into columns and rows on the matrices of two plates. Though the strawberries were meant to be a temporary source of nourishment, my interest was in subverting that function to make a sculpture. As the strawberries sat on the plates they etched an impression, thus activating the matrices.
