For this piece, I'm exploring the seeming incongruity between the sublime and the mundane. I took thirty calendars featuring various depictions of the natural world and hand cut them into 10, 958 swatches. Each swatch represented a single day that was then placed on the wall. By fragmenting each photograph, the work is seeking to re-present standard commercial depictions of the natural world into an unexpected arrangement of imagery.
