The Chinese utilized the technique of rubbing to distribute information ranging from canonical texts to personal inscriptions. In considering this, I made a rubbing of the street near my house on a roll of paper. This drawing marks the space between these two categories.

It's an odd quirk of our language that the abbreviations of the words "saint" and "street" are an identical "St." and "St."
