The Great Regret is a project that utilizes a Mr. Coffee coffee maker to develop drawings. To make each image, I place graphite and water into the filter basket and allow it to run onto the paper that is placed directly underneath. Because the ratio of graphite to water is never consistent, each drawing is unique.

These drawings are made before I start work, during breaks throughout the day, and right before I head home. Depending on my schedule, I'm able to complete approximately 2-3 drawings a day. Currently, I have made over 200 drawings since starting this project in July 2022.
