The Great Regret is an open-ended project that utilizes a coffee maker to develop drawings. To make each image, I place graphite and water into the filter basket and allow it to run onto the paper that is placed directly underneath. Because the ratio of graphite to water is never consistent, each drawing is unique.

Typically, these drawings are made before I start work, during breaks throughout the day, and right before I head home. This allows me to complete approximately 2-3 drawings a day. It should also be noted that I do not make these every day. As of March 2024, I have made approximately 300 drawings.
